A company with a long and prestigious history. Caffè Vergnano’s history started in a small apothecary in Chieri, a small town nearby Torino. A small business set up by the company current owner’s grandfather: Domenico Vergnano.
The family passion and true vocation led to the development of the small shop. In a few years Domenico Vergnano mastered all the secrets of coffee-making and selling. The activity quickly expanded and the first three Italian warehouses were opened in Turin, Alba and Chieri. But the true lip forward happened in 1930 and was the result of a courageous choice: the purchase of a coffee-producing farm in Kenya.
The company looks towards the future with serenity, standing strong on its 13500 square meter factory and 18 automated product lines. It’s ranked sixth in the Italian retail market, present in 19 regions with over 4500 HORECA clients. Caffè Vergnano is expanding quickly with more than 70 Caffè Vergnano 1882 coffee shops around the world and exporting in more than 19 countries that keep appreciating our authentic products.

The roasting is the most delicate moment of the coffee working process, because the taste concentration and flavour of the beans depends on the exact level of roasting. This delicate stage is still today carried out by Caffè Vergnano following traditional methods.

In order to fulfil this desire, they have attributed specific delegates to reach the goals of Environmental Quality and Food Security introduced by the International Voluntary Regulations UNI EN ISO 14001:2004, IFS (International Food Standard) and BRC (British Retail Consortium), supplying their Quality Office with specific autonomies both financial as well as in staff management.
